Location/Division Specific Information

This position is located in our Bohemia, NY location.

How will you make an impact?

A Label Designer is responsible for the design and creation of clinical label proofs based on client and internal manufacturing guidelines. Responsibilities include label proof generation for single panel and booklet labels for both flexographic and digital manufacturing.

What will you do?

  • Designs and creates clinical label proofs based on client and internal manufacturing guidelines
  • Analyzes and constructs label design per specifications listed on the label logistics forms provided by Client Services team.
  • Must have understanding of Customer Profile and Client provided documentation to ensure correct design and discover any potential issues in job set up.
  • Must be able to interpret label design requirements from client provided documentation.
  • Designs various forms of standard and booklet label constructions to client requirements and internal printing capabilities.
  • Basic knowledge of press and variable printing standards to be able to create designs which can take into consideration internal manufacturing capabilities and meet clients specifications.
  • Designs various forms of standard and booklet labels compliant with internal quality and manufacturing requirements and within requested timelines.
  • Designs all templates and constructions needed prior to design.
  • Knowledge of various programs and software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, CLPS, Label Specifications, Template Catalog).
  • Assists with entering data into proprietary software prior to Client viewing.
  • Creates mock proofs and packaging diagrams for Client Services department as requested to address a range of customer requests.
  • Trains new members of the department on work instructions and software.
  • Works on any additional projects as needed.
  • Follows all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), client protocols, and quality criteria in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of responsibility.

  • 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM core hours, additional hours as required.
  • Works overtime to meet client demands.

How will you get here?


High School Diploma


  • 1+ years experience in Adobe In-Design and/or other design programs

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Computer Literate.
  • Comprehension of customer specifications
  • Professional Certification and/or degree in Graphic Arts or Print Production Planning a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
