Analyst, Disaster Recovery

Job Description  The Information Technology Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Analyst is a key function in the creation, maintenance and continual improvement of the organization's Disaster Recovery Process. The Analyst directs IT disaster response/crisis management activities in compliance with the IT emergency plan and helps provide and coordinate disaster preparedness training with respect to the organization's information technologies, helping ensure business continuity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited: Partner and collaborate with Business Continuity management team ensuring the disaster recovery (crisis management) and business continuity plans drive disaster recovery (DR) strategy and procedures Establish and maintain the overall plans for executing all DR procedures with a full understanding of interdependencies Define, develop and maintain detailed DR communications utilizing IT change management procedures to govern plan modification Liaise with the IT technical staff to ensure disaster recovery solutions are prepared, acceptable, maintained, and tested as part of a consistent operational life cycle Understand and develop all required testing for successful DR execution Execution of the testing processes utilized to validate the disaster recovery plans Coordinate and lead all DR exercises, inclusive of tabletop exercises, simulated exercises and full DR testing Deliver ongoing feedback regarding risk management, mitigation, and prevention Represent disaster recovery cost requirements within the annual budgeting process Regularly report Disaster Recovery activities to upper management Act as liaison for auditing and examination of disaster recovery processes Continually improve DR process utilizing lasted information and technologies available Maintain third party/vendor relationships, including contract execution, budget and scope Qualifications   5+ years of demonstrated experience dedicated to disaster recovery operations and management Experience managing large projects utilizing PMI standard methods and tools Experience managing cross-functional IT teams Strong time management and organization skills Successfully developed and implemented business continuity program life cycle plans and source deliverables (e.g. risk assessments, bias, continuity planning) is essential Experience establishing, managing and communication with Business Partners to cultivate strong partnerships Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures and mainframe architectures is essential, as is knowledge of crisis communication solutions Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk and business impact analysis Understanding of elementary IT network principles is critical Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to convey plans, exercises, and activities.  Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) or Associate Disaster Recovery Planner accreditation is a plus ITIL V3 Foundation certification is a plus Sound project management skills Ability to plan, organize, and lead the testing of emergency response, recovery support, and business resumption procedures MS Office Suite, MS Project, Visio Sharepoint Experience a plus Vendor Management

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
