The Nature's Bounty Co. is seeking Maintenance Mechanics to join our team at our Long Island, NY manufacturing facilities. The Mechanic A role mentors and guides lower level mechanics - an opportunity to demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills. This role maintains and repairs equipment, while helping to develop solutions. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
Troubleshoots, assesses and repairs most manufacturing/facilities issues in a timely manner without supervision
Interprets blueprints and schematics
Operates machinery such as lathes, mills, drill presses and all power and hand tools
Ability to instruct lower grade mechanics
Basic to advance knowledge of electrical circuits and PLC's; previous programming experience a plus
Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
Shift Information:
3rd shift; 11:
00pm - 7:
30am; Sunday night - Friday morning
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Experience working in and around mechanical equipment, preferably in a food/pharmaceutical/nutriceutical environment
High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
Basic mathematical skills
Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc within a manufacturing environment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
