Laser Engineering Operations Analyst

Company Name:
Photonics Industries International, Inc.
Job duties: Observe the current engineering systems in operation, in order to gather and analyze information about each of the parts of component problems. Collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to conceptualize, define and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives in developing the structural design of products using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) or drafting equipment and software. These problems might arise from an investigation of equipment failures or from the faulty operation of equipment. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports and analyze the implementation or maintenance of equipment such as lasers, laser systems, microscopes, oscilloscopes, pulse generators, power meters, beam analyzers and energy measurement devices, in order to generate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters. Identify and specify manipulative or computational methods to be applied to models, then perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary. This step involves the definition of data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests. Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems to assist senior management with the development, coordination, and monitoring of all aspects of production (including the appropriate selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs). Work with senior management and others in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions.
Entry requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
