PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Stock room operations/material handler 3 in Bohemia, NY

The stock room handlers work when the production line is working. If the production line is not working, then there is not work for the stock room handler. The stock room handler will go onto the production line and survey what materials are running low/are needed. Sometimes the production line will call over and request materials, but this position is a proactive approach.

Overtime is more likely to occur for this role, dependent upon the production line activity. Saturdays are common (5am-1pm shift), not usually the full shift. If there is work for the production line, then the stock room handler is expected to work.

Job
Responsibilities:

Pull items of varying size/weight from stock to fill kits for issue to manufacturing in order to fill stock order requirements.Perform daily cycle counts including investigating and rectifying discrepancies; may require bending, squatting, crouching.Place materials in assigned locations.Receive purchased and completed manufactured items by verifying markings, and quantities.Assigns part numbers and identify hardware using various preprinted labels, markers and labeling devices.Check the MRP system for shortages on released work orders or sales orders and issue as required.Pick, pack, post inventory to work orders and prepare shipping documentation.Service in-house walkup customers are requiring issuing and returning items to stock.Daily activities include cycle counts, inventory management and, put away stock , and most importantly - filling the production lines with the appropriate material for build. Bins are stacked on rolling shelves, no higher than head height. Our ERP system is a daily requirement.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

Must be able to lift 30lbs (anything 40 requires a 2-person team).High School diploma or equivalent with 4-5 years related experience; or Bachelor's degree with 0-1 years of related experience.Physical capabilities - must be able to stand and walk the shop floor for full shift (9-10hrs).Bilingual (Spanish) is beneficial.Basic computer skill:
MS Outlook and Excel.Basic Email etiquette/ Professionalism, preferred.Dependable. Attendance is important to the manager.Team oriented with the ability to work independently.Results driven.Willingness to learn and not afraid to ask questions.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
